As a talented producer and DJ, Rebūke struggled to stand out in the saturated electronic music scene. He needed a brand identity that resonated with his unique sound, connected deeply with his audience, and evolved alongside his music’s transformation from 1990s rave nostalgia to future techno.

Through research, strategic design, and community-focused branding, I created a timeless identity centered around a reimagined acid smiley face, seamlessly integrating Rebūke’s name. This became an iconic symbol, evolving from flat 2D visuals to futuristic 3D aesthetics, bridging his nostalgic beginnings with his forward-thinking sonic identity and unifying his growing fan base.

The branding journey for Rebūke began with a clear mission: to transform a talented yet overlooked artist into a standout presence within the competitive electronic music scene. With a pivot toward 1990s-inspired rave and techno, the need for a bold, timeless identity became paramount. After extensive research and ideation, the concept of a reimagined acid smiley face emerged—one that seamlessly integrated Rebūke’s name while evoking nostalgia and capturing the energy of his sound. This emblem became the foundation of a brand designed to be instantly recognisable and deeply engaging.

Beyond the logo, the branding strategy was crafted to create a sense of community. The smiley face symbolized not just the artist but also the collective experience of his fans. From merchandise like balloons and stickers to props at live events, the design was implemented to foster unity and amplify the audience’s connection to the music. The work has transformed his identity into more than a logo—it has become a cornerstone of his artistry, fostering a thriving community and cementing his place as a leading figure in the techno world.
